A far out evening of sight sound and improvisation at the Farmstead Barn in Sullivan, Saturday July 19, 8pm. Chicago-based Nick Yeck-Stauffer joins long time collaborator George Schaefer of Sullivan for a presentation of their project “To Write on Burning Paper”, a loop based synthesis of 16mm film, reel to reel, electronics and trumpet. Portland sound poet, avant-improvisor, and space waver, id m theft able uses voice, found objects, electronics in a blend of electro acoustic experimentation defying conventional rhetoric! And Machias-area ensemble Les Trois Etioles, melds sound and movement like a Cy Twombly free form at once folk art and abstract expressionism.

 

Absolutely a non-deterministic, out-of-the-box group of artists and thinkers working through forms human and alien to further enrich and articulate a present spirit. So please join us! 8pm, 2816 US Highway 1, Sullivan. Give what you can. Light refreshment provided.
